Metric Architecture is a Vancouver-based firm specializing in residential, commercial, and hospitality design. As density increases in desirable areas, architects and planners must respond with both sensitivity and innovation. We champion "missing middle" housing—townhouses, duplexes, and low-rise buildings between 4–6 storeys—that can integrate into established neighbourhoods while providing more affordable options for residents. We believe cities should grow without losing their identity. Metric has worked on heritage preservation projects in Vancouver’s historic districts, including Gastown and Chinatown. These projects reflect our commitment to protecting the character of existing communities while planning for the future.
