Innes Yates Architect (IYA) is an innovative, full service architecture studio located in Vancouver, Canada.  IYA is known for the design of unique, high-quality buildings and spaces for living and working. The studio is led by architect Innes Yates, who has over 25 year of experience working in the field of architecture in North America and Europe. Innes is a licensed architect and member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.

IYA has extensive expertise with residential, institutional and commercial building types. Housing is a primary area of focus, including multi-unit residential, custom houses, and inner-city developments and "missing middle" housing. We frequently work on projects for the art and fashion industries, and have completed gallery and exhibition spaces, art production and studio spaces, art storage and handling facilities, performance spaces, recording studios and office and support spaces for arts institutions and galleries. Our work for the fashion industry includes retail spaces, office environments, and design and manufacturing facilities.
