For our second hang of the year, we are meeting at Brewery August. As always, it should be a low-key affair with a chance to talk shop…or not.

The new Director of SALA, Thaïsa Way, will be joining us to learn more about the Field Collective and how SALA can better engage small practices like ours. To clarify, the Director largely shapes the school’s vision across everything from curriculum to hiring. Her onboarding comes at a pivotal time for the school, after two years of uncertainty amid significant shifts in UBC's financial structure. In just two months, it’s clear Thaïsa is determined to make some overdue changes and is very interested in hearing from those affiliated with the school, so bring your strong opinions.

Kids are welcome, or at least one of mine will be there, taking full advantage of our Disney subscription even if they aren’t.
